Blog posts now support up to 10 photos!
Blog posts now support up to 10 photos! The blogs now support up to 10 photos per post and a number of new formatting tags to give you more control of your post. To put your main photo, you can use both the [image] or [image1] as shown below. [image3] and [image5] corresponding to your 3rd and 5th photo uploaded. You can resize photos and change the alignment using width/height and right/left tags such as [image2 right width=30 height=100] The right/left tags are useful when you want your text to flow around such as the following. I've put the tags next the photo so you can see how it is do. This is a long paragraph. This is a long paragraph. This is a long paragraph. This is a long paragraph. This is a long paragraph. This is a great feature , Thank you A question though,, is there anyway to get the "quote" button on some of the blogs working again? Mine had been out for 2 days. A chat with the Customer service desk was an underwhelming experience. I know of 5 other bloggers that are experiencing the same issue, without help. After almost 20 minutes I was advised this is a technical issue and Bug #CD-16753 was opened. That was this morning and still does not work. I am sorry for interjecting here, but the Customer Support is anything but supportive, especially to a paying member. Thank you

Well done - this is a great new feature and will allow for more well formatted and interesting blogs.... now please do not do away with bling - that is different - it can be reused and gifted etc. and serves a different function to simply putting multiple images in a post

first of all, thank you for adding this feature for blog...i have been waiting this for loooonnng time...i really love it..since i love it so much, i have already used it today ... one thing i am having a problem is that, when i change the picture that have been already inserted, the new pic never shows up... the explanation in the "edit post" states "If you change your photos, it may take a few minutes before the new photo shows up." well...it's been over 6 hours now, and i have already tried to switch few times, by either deleting the old photo first, or just inserting again, but still not showing up...

Thanks for this Andrew. But I found that if I want 2 images side by side, the total width being 600px, it won't work and they're posted one on top of another. Also, if I post one image, try to change it to another one in the same slot, the new one won't be respected and only the old one shows.

Nice new functionality! My experience has been that anything which gives a user the ability to customize their expressions (ranging from their colors on their blogs to the blog posts themselves) is a major value add. Can't wait to see what's next!

Like the new feature. Hate that I can't remove images from existing blog posts now so I have to delete the entire post. Nice to see you back, but unfortunately the "let's improve something, but break something else that works fine" continues. 2022... it HAS be better, right?!

Andrew replies on 12/23/2013 11:39 am: I hear you... sometimes things work differently in the development system than on live. Photo caching is an example... will work on it this week. You could save time by uploading a new photo in location 5 for example and use the 'image5' tag to replace your other image... yah, a hack, but just for now. Not a bad idea - one I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the idea. 2022... it HAS be better, right?!

This is excellent news and a good explanation. I wish I had seen it before I fiddled with my post for 20 minutes this afternoon trying to get the three pictures in the order I wanted them to be where I wanted them to be in the post, but then again I thought it was Wednesday all day today so who knows how much I would have absorbed anyway. Maybe another thing that could be looked at are the glitches in the Nudity catcher. I usually have everything blocked and turn on Nudity as I choose and it's a little random. For instance, a guy had a cartoon on his blog of a dog that looked kind of like Snoopy, you know, with the long head, and that was X'ed out - yet all kinds of actual human nudity occurrences seem to slide by all the time. It seems like it worked more consistently before the current three-tier system. Obviously I'm not a prude and I'm not shocked - and I'm only bringing it up because you seem like a person who sees value in things working as described. *[blog charleyb223]*

I just read Koffla's comment about bigger images in the blog headers. Maybe you or someone else on your team could just post an image to one of your blog headers via the Settings link and you'd see what he means. The images are tiny. And since it is Christmas Eve . . . would it be possible to add to the list some way to limit blog width especially on the page where the comments appear to make the blogs easier for mobile users to read? There used to be a way to hack the front page with a sticky post, and I think with the image posting changes that may be obsolete now. I don't know enough about coding to know how much of a big deal this would be. *[blog charleyb223]*

Andrew replies on 12/25/2013 2:27 am: I've heard that this has been resolved... post again here if not. Sorry Andrew, the images are still stacked and not side by side. I did see them side by side once when I was on my tablet, but it reverted to stacked soon after.

I couldn't find another place to ask this question... is it possible to "pin" a poll on my blog...and if so...how? Thanks
| |||||||||||||||||
|
That is easy. Where you click 'Add a Post',Just click 'Add a Poll'. Do me a favor...go look at one of my other posts and make a comment... please...
| |||||||||||||||||
|
I should clarify. .. I want to pin the post to the top of my blog... I know how to post a poll... The same with posting on group, the moderator can pin up a group post but not polls posting.
| |||||||||||||||||
|
Ok. If you mean as a sticky post on top of your home blog page, you can not. You can do that on blog post. Most of the Setting option are not available for polls posting that are available for adding a post. The same with posting on group, the moderator can pin up a group post but not polls posting. Do me a favor...go look at one of my other posts and make a comment... please...
